We can work with you to help with a number of your health concerns not only with the appropriate chiropractic care to get your spine and nervous system functioning and healthy, but to make sure you are eating and supplementing your diet with the right foods or supplements. Nutrition is a vital part of staying and being healthy. We are very knowledgeable about many health concerns and many times there are some nutritional protocols that can aid in speeding up the recovery and decreasing the progression of your symptoms or disease. If we cannot specifically answer any of your questions, we will find the answers.
We work with only the highest quality nutritional supplements. One of the most important things in choosing nutritional supplements is getting a high quality product that contains what is stated. Since supplements are not regulated by the FDA, there in no requirement of purity of products. In a recent study done by ConsumerLab.com, of 21 brands of multivitamins on the market in the United States and Canada selected by ConsumerLab.com and tested by independent laboratories, only 10 met the stated claims on their labels or satisfied other quality standards. Even more alarming, several of the tested products actually had lead and other toxic poisons in them.
This is why the products we carry are GMP certified. GMP stands for Good Manufacturing Practices. A third party, independent, and unbiased organization (National Nutritional Foods Association) brings inspectors into the manufacturing facility, and with a fine tooth comb checks all aspects of manufacturing. They guarantee that the products meet label potency, are void of all toxic metals or microbial contaminants, and are made in a hygienic environment, our herbals are authentic and active, and a standard operating procedure (SOP) is in use for all aspects of production. GMP certification is not free. In fact it's very expensive - which is why most nutritional supplement manufacturers are not GMP Certified. Saying they are in compliance with GMP isn't the same as being certified. The commitment to quality is seen throughout the production facility. A full 20 percent of staff is dedicated to quality control throughout the production process with the company we use.
Patients are amazed when they have been taking a supplement from a major grocery, retail, or health food store for years with no results. Then they begin taking a product that we recommend with the proper dosages from a GMP certified company and see it actually work the way it is supposed to.
